Prasadi Monument

Sacred Chhatri monuments raised at hallowed sites blessed by the divine footsteps and leelas of Shree Swaminarayan Bhagwan

As the all-incarnating Lord Shri Swaminarayan traveled across India and the many regions surrounding it, he sanctified countless places with his divine lotus feet and his transcendental divine plays (lila). It was the cherished vision of P.P. Sad. Shri Gnanjivandasji Swami of Kundaldham that the identity, glory, and memory of each of these sanctified (prasadibhut) places be preserved, unbroken, for thousands of years to come.

To bring this noble vision to life, under Swamishri's inspiration, the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Kundaldham, is constructing beautiful “memorial canopies” (smruti chhatri) of white marble at these sanctified sites of Shri Hari. These memorial canopies preserve and care for the holy lands where Lord Shri Swaminarayan performed his divine lilas, safeguard the precise identity and geographic location of each sacred site for all time, and ensure that future generations of Lord Swaminarayan's followers will, for thousands of years, know both the glory of these places and exactly where they are. In this way, devoted followers may come here for darshan, attain the fruit of having made a pilgrimage (tirth), and immerse themselves in loving devotion to the memory of Shri Hari.

With the glory of this sanctified place, together with [this] knowledge as its cause;

If we take darshan with devotion, then sins are burned away and knowledge arises.
